The governing body of MPI is the International Board of Directors. The Board is responsible for reviewing and approving the organization's strategic plans. It oversees financial integrity and monitors performance against achievement of strategy and long-term vision. Members of the Board include the chair of the board, chair-elect, vice chair of finance, immediate past chair and up to 11 directors. The current MPI International Board of Directors will remain in office until December 2017.
Each year, MPI members in good standing are eligible to submit an application to serve on the MPI International Board of Directors. The call for applications opens June 1, 2017 and closes on July 18, 2017. By November 15, 2017, the Board Development Committee shall submit a slate of one (1) candidate for each vacancy on the MPI International Board of Directors and each office of MPI. In selecting nominees, the Board Development Committee shall evaluate candidates to assure a balance of skills and experiences on the MPI International Board of Directors.
